What Is Polyacrylamide (PAM)?

Polyacrylamide is a water-soluble linear macromolecule polymer. Our Anionic Polyacrylamide (APAM), formed through copolymerization of acrylamide and acrylate, neutralizes the charge of suspended particles in water, destabilizing them. Under the bridging action of macromolecule active groups, destabilized particles adsorb and aggregate into larger flocs — enabling rapid, efficient solid-liquid separation.

Application Method

  1. Dissolution: Dissolve solid PAM into a 1‰–5‰ aqueous solution before use. Add the powder slowly into water under agitation to ensure complete dissolution.
  2. Dosage Optimization: For high-concentration, high-viscosity suspensions, dilute the solution further to 0.1‰ for optimal flocculation. Avoid high-shear centrifugal pumps to prevent molecular chain breakage.
  3. Grade Selection: Cationic and nonionic PAM have lower molecular weight than anionic grades. Recommended working concentration: 1‰–5‰.

Packaging & Storage

Package: Inner plastic bag sealed within a polypropylene woven outer bag, 25 kg per bag.
Storage: Store sealed in a dry, cool environment below 35°C. Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.
